Igor Mazepa, Concorde Capital CEO: Lockdowns do not work
11.01.2021
Igor Mazepa, CEO and Founder of Concorde Capital investment company shares his views on the possibility of a new lockdown in January 2021.
“I think that it is absolutely wrong to impose lockdowns and restrict the operation of businesses,” says Igor Mazepa.
“As the previous experience shows, this does not help curb the spread of coronavirus, but only drives business into the shadows. Indeed, instead of working and paying taxes, entrepreneurs pretend they do not work, although they work under the table in fact, and they do pay, but not to the budget, but to inspectors”, comments Igor Mazepa.
“We should change our attitude to the situation and accept the fact that another disease has appeared, and we will live with it. Instead, we are trying all the time to deal not with the cause, but with the effect, the fear that our medical system will not cope. We do so instead of eliminating the root cause: instead of implementing a full medical reform, introducing shared payments and compulsory insurance medicine,” Igor Mazepa went on to say.
